Police arrest 19 criminals in Hangu

HANGU: The district police of Hangu have arrested 19 criminals including a proclaimed offender and three narcotics dealers during last three days said Hangu police spokesman here on Monday. Cache of arms and narcotics were also recovered from the arrested people during 12 strike and search operations carried out under the directives of DPO, Asif Gohar.

The operations were carried out in City, Sadar, Doaba, Thall and Balya Mina areas under the headship of DSP Circle Umar Hayat Khan. The arrested people included a proclaimed offender, 15 criminals and three narcotics dealers. Police said two Kalashnikovs, six pistols, 4500 gm hashish and hundreds of cartridges of different bore were recovered from these people. The DPO has also directed the SHOs of police stations to tight noose against people involved in criminal activities especially against drug dealers to purge the society of anti-social elements.
