Police arrest alleged killer of 17 years old victim

MARDAN: Police officials here on Wednesday claimed to have resolved the blind murder case of a 17-years old victim after arresting the alleged killer.

Abdur Raoof Babar, Superintendent of Police (Operation), flanked by Station House Officer of Hoti Police Station Noor Muhammad Khan and Investigation Officer Taj Muhammad Khan announced name of the arrested killer in a conference held at his office.

Speaking to media-persons, SP operation told that they had found a dead body of 17-years old youth on August 10, 2017 who was later on, identified as Asadullah son of Shafiullah resident of Guli Bagh locality.

After starting of investigation in the blind murder case, the SP told that they had traced out alleged killer of the victim Asadullah and arrested him yesterday after hectic efforts.

He claimed that the arrested accused identified as Inamullah son of Hayat Mir, was close friend of the slain youth.

During interrogation, the police officer said that the accused admitted his crime of murder as saying that he loved the victim. On the day of killing, he (the accused) told police that he took his victim friend to Ghazana Dheray locality on pretext of playing cricket match, where he shot dead Asadullah when he turned down his un-natural demand of molestation with him.

The alleged killer told that he dumped the dead body of his friend in Ghazana Dheray, an area comes within the remits of Saddar Police Station, and fled from the scene.

The SP operation told that both the victim and alleged killer belonged to Gulibagh area which comes in the limits of Hoti Police Station.

He further said that they had also recovered pistol from the accused which he had used to kill the 17-years old youth.

During the police press conference, the accused was presented before media-persons who himself admitted his crime of killing his own friend before journalists.
