Police arrest dozens in crackdown against street racing

KARACHI: Police started crackdown against reckless motorcycles riders and vehicles with tinted glasses and arrested dozens in this regard on early Sunday morning.

Police set up checking points in different areas of provincial capital and were conducting strict checking of vehicles on all routes. The crackdown was started after a reckless driver killed a youngster and another was injured while racing in Do Darya area of Karachi last week.

Police informed that at least 28 persons were arrested for not having registration papers for their vehicles while 35 were held for one-wheeling and having tinted windows on their vehicles.

Police also netted PTI Karachi leader, Faisal Wada for riding in a vehicle with tinted glasses and lacking registration papers.
