Police arrest several members of a criminal gang

KABUL: Kabul police arrested several members of a criminal gang in a crackdown conducted in Kabul aftermath the murder of a money exchanger in the city.

Official of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) told local media that the operation was conducted in Balkh province in the leadership of CID chief General Mohammad Salim Almas.

CID officials added that the gang was involved in the murder of money exchanger and many other crimes and later they managed to escape to Balkh province after committing the crime in Kabul.

Meanwhile, CID officials told last week that Afghan security forces busted a key gang of criminals in capital Kabul amid ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal-related incidents from the key cities, including the Kabul city.
