Police registered FIR against 41 lawyers for locking female AC

SARGODHA: Police registered First Information Report (FIR) against 41 lawyers for misbehaving and locking the female Assistant Commissioner in her room for some time.

Police sources said the anti-terrorism sections were included in the FIRs against the lawyers including former GS of district Bar and five other senior lawyers.

The cases were registered after lawyers started quarreled with the assistant commissioner (AC) for not giving the decision of their choice and locked her inside a courtroom.

DC Liaquat Chattha and ASP Habib-u-Rehman Bugti reached the spot and unlocked the AC Anum Ali who was remained in the room for some time.

CM Shahbaz Sharif had taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into the matter to bring the culprits to justice.
