LANDI KOTAL: A police cop embraced Shahadat when a polio security team came under an attack of unknown militants here at Nala Khwar, Malikdin area of Bara, District Khyber on Friday.
In retaliation one militant was also killed on the spot, police said.
The deceased soldier was identified as Sadeeq son of Fareed Khan.
The District Police Officer while confirming the incident said the police team was returning back after providing security to the polio vaccination crew when they were ambushed.
Soon after the event, reinforcements of the police officials rushed to the site, cordoned off the whole area and shifted the bodies for medic-legal formalities.
A massive search operation had been launched in the area to trace the culprits, official said.
