Police to change attitude: Justice Asadullah remarked

PESHAWAR: Justice Sahibzada Asadullah remarked that court shall be grant bails to culprits in narcotics cases in failure of prosecution to produce record and didn’t appearing of police personnel before the court, on Wednesday.
This remarks was observed during hearing of bail petition of alleged smuggler Muhammad Wasim who was arrested by police and recovered three kilogram hashish from secrete cavities of vehicle.
Justice Sahibzada Asadullah of PHC remarked that police personnel shall change their attitude because no one can be held behind bars for long time without conviction in the offence.
The counsel for petitioner Zar Muhammad Afridi Advocate informed PHC that on previous hearing honorable court has directed prosecution to submit record while directed concerned Station House Officer to appear while both the orders are not fulfilled.
On this Justice Sahibzada Asadullah inquired from state’s lawyer that what are doing public institution and granted bail to the petitioner.
