Polio case detects in Landi Kotal

LANDI KOTAL: First polio case of 2019 in district Khyber was detected as 12 months old infant baby of Bazaar Zakha Khel area of Landi Kotal was declared polio-positive, health department informed on Thursday.

The health official told that 12 months old Umar Hayat s/o Hayat Gul, resident of remote and bordering area of Bazaar Zakha Khel had been declared polio infected after his complete stool tests were conducted in the laboratory of National Institute of Health (NIH). The child had been administered complete cycle of anti-polio drops and that was the reason that the child had minor effectee otherwise he would be complete paralysis, the official said.
