D I KHAN: Commissioner Javed Khan Marwat Monday categorically said that polio vaccine is completely safe and free from any side effect. Parents should have to cooperate with health teams and get their children vaccinated against the crippling disease.
In a statement issued here, he said that negative propagation of polio vaccine was putting negative effect on vaccination drive due to which various new cases of polio were reported, adding that it was joint responsibility of parents to get their children immunized against polio. He said that World Health Organisation has declared the polio vaccine free from any kind of side effect therefore the parents should not pay heed to negative propagandas and cooperation with polio teams during the upcoming drive.
