Political future of Fazalur Rehman is bleak: Sheikh

F.P. Report

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Awami Muslim League chief and former federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said future politics of Maulana Fazlur Rehman is bleak.

In his message on the X (Twitter), Sheikh Rasheed said name of the next caretaker Prime Minister would come in the ‘last 5 overs of 72 hours’.

If name of Ishaq Dar has been dropped from the list of caretaker PM, then it means name of Nawaz Sharif is nowhere, he said adding there is a big difference between an accountant and an economist.

The former federal minister said that PTI has jolted the JUI in the Peshawar by-elections. Maulana Fazlur Rahman can install his relative (Samadhi) as governor but cannot ensure victory of his party in the election.

He said that the National Assembly had been made a factory in last eight days which was churning out the bills.

The Supreme Court clearly told the Election Commission about the clear features of the elections, he said adding the second installment of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is also fixed for the election and caretakers would receive the installment.

Former minister said that if there is a new census, the Election Commission has to move lawfully. Differences emerged between former premiers—Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif—as former is playing a game with his brother silently, Sheikh Rasheed claimed. (INP)
