POs among 83 held with arms, drugs

PESHAWAR: The police arrested about seven dozen outlaws including proclaimed offenders (POs) besides recovering arms and drugs during separate actions in different areas of the provincial capital on Monday.

In line with the directives of the CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Tahir Khan, the police teams under the supervision of SSP Operations Javed Iqbal conducted operation across Peshawar city.

During separate actions 83 outlaws including eight POs were apprehended with six Kalashnikovs, three rifles, a gun, one Kalakov, 32 pistols of 30 bore, hundreds of rounds of different bores, 21 kilogram hashish, 210 gram heroin, 48 bottles branded liquor and 20 litres locally manufactured liquor.

The police confiscated the recovered weapons and drugs and the detainees were being interrogated after registering cases against them at concerned police stations.
