Positivity ratio nears 10% as Pakistan records 43 more coronavirus deaths

The positivity ratio of coronavirus cases in Pakistan nears 10 percent (9.96%) as Pakistan reported 4,323 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

There were 43 more causalities related to the deadly disease as the death toll due to coronavirus has reached 114,821 that represents a ratio of 2.1%. According to the latest figures, 4,323 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 43,362 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 692,231 that returned positive after conducting 10,446,697 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country is 61,450 with 3,587 patients in critical condition. There were 2,902 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 615,960 with an 89% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 2,275 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 233,348 with 31,077 active cases. In Punjab, 14 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 6,587. With 1699 new recoveries, 195,684 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

The most affected province Sindh has recorded 240 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 266,618 with 5,403 active cases.

In Sindh, no new death reported related to the deadly disease as the death toll remains 4,509. With 64 new recoveries, 256,706 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 984 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 92,423 with 11,086 active cases. The province reported 17 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 2,457. With 590 new recoveries, 78,880 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan has recorded another 51 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 19,162 with 412 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remained at 211. With 19 new recoveries, 19,046 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 641 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 61,552 with 11,591 active cases. With 4 new deaths reported in the Federal Capital as the virus death toll reached 583. With 445 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 49,378 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 127 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 13,446 with 1,815 active cases. With 7 new deaths reported, the death toll reached 371. There were 74 new recoveries in the AJK as 11,260 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 7 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached at 5,059 with 66 active cases. No new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 103. There were 11 new recoveries reported as well as number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reaches 4,890.
