PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Central leader and candidate for Member National Assembly Ghulam Ahmad Bilour challenged postponement of by-election scheduled on 25th September at Peshawar High Court (PHC).
ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan has already challenged postponement of by-election seeking to direct Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold poll on scheduled date.
Pakistan Democratic Movement candidate Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said that 20th September is suitable date for by-election because court has directed to frame charge on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan in contempt of court.
This he said while talking to media personnel after filing of writ petition and added that ANP has conducted door to door election campaign which will compel PTI to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because provincial resources were exploited for ego of PTI’s chairman.
ANP leader Ghulam Ahmad Bilour claimed that Imran Khan pretending himself as above the law and untouchable despite threatening Woman Judge and politicizing national institutions for his own political ends.
He claimed that public shall throwback Imran Khan from politics by power of vote. The writ petition seeking holding of by-election as per scheduled while early hearing is expecting in the petitions.
