PPC Qabails beat Eagles to boost semis spot

PESHAWAR: PPC Qabails continue with their superb form by beating PPC Eagles by eight wickets in the to brighten their chances for a semi-final spot in the ongoing 5th Edition of Peshawar Press Club Media Cricket League being played here at Qayyum Sports Complex.

Batting first Eagles scored 67 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Tariq scored 20 while Dost Muhammad scored 18 runs. Shahid and Kamran grabbed two wickets each while Bilal Afridi.

In reply Qabails lost two early wickets but Shah Faisal and Kamran scored some quick runs hitting boundaries freely. Shah Faisal scored 31 while Kamran scored 24. Kamran was adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

In the other match of the day, PPC Lions beat PPC Greens in a one sided match. PPC Lions batting first scored a mammoth 119 runs in just 8 overs thanks to 70 runs by Kamran while Irfan scored 33 runs. In response, PPC Greens could manage to score only 34 runs. Shahzad scored 17 runs. PPC Panthers, PPC Qalander and PPC Shaheen also won their matches.
