PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday demanded merger of FATA with KP owing to the sacrifices of tribal people for the motherland.
In a statement issued here, the Provincial President of PPP, Engineer Humayoon Khan said that the people of FATA have rendered sacrifices for the sake of the country and keeping in view their services tribal areas should be merged with KP province. He said that PPP would stand with tribal people in their stance over merger of FATA with KP.
He said that PPP had started FATA reforms to resolve the problems of tribal people. He said that amendments were made in Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and increasing ambit of Political Parties Act to FATA during PPP government.
