PPP not to file candidates where candidates were martyred
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party has decided that it would not field the candidates in bye-elections in those constituencies where candidates were martyred in terrorists attacks during election campaign.
This was said by General Secretary of PPP Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari in his statement that on the directive of party’s Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari PPP has taken the decision that the those parties would be given chance that have faced loss of life in the sabotage act before 25th July general election.
“Pakistan People’s Party gives due respect to those who sacrificed their lives in the way of democracy and by not bringing candidates against their parties, PPP is paying rich tributes to the martyrs .
Sardar IkramUllah Gandapur, of PTI , Awami National Party’s (ANP) candidate Haroon Bashir Bilour and Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, from Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) lost their lives at Dera Ismail Khan , Peshawar and Mastung respectively in suicide attacks during election campaign.
