PPP wants parliamentary body on medicine scandal

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party has demanded that India form a parliamentary committee to probe the drug import scandal.

PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said in a statement that the Prime Minister was directly responsible as the Minister of Health and demanded the formation of a parliamentary committee to determine those responsible for the multi-billion rupee procurement of medicines.

Nayyar Bukhari added that the “lucrative trade” of life-saving drugs from India was to put the lives of the people at stake. Captive to personal interests, the government does not allow any “opportunity” to pass by putting the national interest behind it.

Nayyar Bukhari demanded that the Prime Minister be held accountable in the inquiry and parliamentary committee.

He said that conducting an inquiry against a “health adviser” by a “prime minister’s adviser” was tantamount to throwing dust in the eyes of the people.

Nayyar Bukhari said that for the peace of the subcontinent, the soybean disease and the lucrative trade in medicines from the Narendra Modi government, the killer of Kashmiris, is a question mark.

He said that Imran Modi’s friendship has become very clear and Imran Khan as the Health Minister is directly responsible for the whole affair.

Nayyar Bukhari said that trade in “life-saving” drugs from India, a mortal enemy of Kashmiris, was a shame.

The PPP leader said that permission for import of medicines was given in a cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.

He further said that the robbery scandal on the pockets of the people has already come to light due to the stealing of medicines and increase in prices. Those responsible are free under the government umbrella. ?

Nayyar Bukhari said that it is very sad and shameful that the lives of the people are in danger due to the Karuna epidemic. Out of greed and lust, the rulers are busy filling their coffers.
The PPP and the nation want accountability and punishment of those responsible for the scandal of billions of rupees.
