PPP’s Hoti demands Imran to resign as PM

F.P. Report

MARDAN: Former federal minister and central leader of Pakistan People Party Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti has demanded of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to resign from his post owing to his failure to deliver according to wishes of the countrymen.

Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti was talking to journalists at Meet the Press held here on Sunday. On the occasion he was also accompanied by other PPP leaders including ex-deputy speaker Ikramullah Shahid, Iqbal Hoti advocate, Ghufranullah advocate, Haji Sharafat Khan, Rabnawaz Khan and Haji Anwar Khan.

He alleged that Pakistan was passing through  a very critical juncture but on the other hand, its selected Prime Minister Imran Khan had passed initial ten months of his tenure with hollow slogans of corruption.

He called the Prime Minister Imran Khan as “Nero” of present time as poor countrymen were crying of price-hiking while the rulers were playing flute.

”We are ready to come to streets against the PTI-led coalition government, once the PPP leadership decides to call its activists to Islamabad for protest,” he claimed, adding that they were not afraid of jail.

To query about economy of the country, he replied that the PTI government had no financial policy as the incumbent government was planning to impose new taxes of Rs.6 trillion over the countrymen in the next financial budget.

He warned that action of the government would bring a new storm of price-hiking as the rulers were going to finish poor instead of poverty from the country.

Mr. Khawaja ironically said that PPP was proving good for PTI government as most of its ouster leaders was part of Imran Khan’s cabinet.

Replying a  question about problems and issues being faced by residents of the district, he said that they would called All Parties Conference (APC) at Mardan level as above their political affiliation to resolve its residents’ problems and miseries.

”We will not compromise over problems and rights of residents of the district,” he added.
