ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister and Senator Rehman Malik was laid to rest in the H-VIII graveyard of Islamabad amid official protocol by traffic police and the CDA administration.
The funeral prayers for the former interior minister were offered at 2:30pm preparations for which had already been completed.
Vehicles of the traffic police and ambulances of the CDA administration had accompanied the funeral procession from his residence to the cemetery.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and a large number of political and social personalities attended his funeral prayers that were offered at the funeral hall of H-VIII graveyard.
He was laid to rest near the grave of Dr Abdul Qadir Khan — father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme.
