President Mamnoon Hussain tenure ends today
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has completed five years term and he will retire from his post today (Saturday).
According the details, President-elect Arif Alvi will take oath of office tomorrow as the 13th president of Pakistan.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar will take oath from the President-elect Arif Alvi and the ceremony will be held at the President house.
The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, federal ministers, parliament members, foreign diplomats and senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
Earlier, President Mamnoon held a farewell meeting with the officers and the workers of the President House and thanked them for extending cooperation to him during his five-year term.
The president told the staffers that during his tenure, he always adhered to his constitutional limits and strived to fulfill his responsibilities.
