President: Youth have important role in national development

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain said that students and youth have a very important role in the national development and they should prepare themselves to deal with the challenges of future. Therefore, they should study more and more to understand the modern world and new social, political and economic trends.

The President said this while talking to the students of Cadet College Hasan Abdal at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Tuesday. The President emphasized that the objective of national development can only be achieved if students and young generation fully dedicate themselves for this purpose.

He underscored that the study of natural sciences is very important in the current era because future belongs to the scientific development and inventions. In addition to this attention should also be paid on the study of social sciences, he added. He underlined that the promotion and protection of our cultural and social values especially poetry and literature should also be included in our priority.

The President highlighted that new opportunities are emerging after the start of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Our youth should immediately start preparing themselves to take full advantage from these opportunities, he added.

He expressed his pleasure that Cadet College Hasan Abdal is fully participating in curricular and extra-curricular activities. He expressed hope that the students will have better opportunity to understand the requirements of practical life through such activities.
