Prizada firm on stance asking Shehbaz to take over PML-N

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Monday rehashed statement of installing Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif as ruling party’s chief.

“I adhere to the statement that Shehbaz Sharif must take over command of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN). I haven’t articulated name of 111th Infantry Brigade that everyone seems fuming”, said the senior party leader.

Pirzada taunted that he is ready to apologize if junior Sharif leads 111th Infantry Brigade. Speaking to media in his chamber, Pirzada said that he doesn’t object to Nawaz’s leadership but he is concerned how the party would win the next elections.

It is pertinent here to mention that Pirzada had created upheaval in ruling party’s lines after he urged Nawaz Sharif to step down in favour of Shehbaz Sharif.

Addressing to Meet The Press event in Islamabad, Pirzada said it is important to list right as right if PML-N is to be kept alive. He lambasted the policies of the ruling party saying there is no justice in the society instead “only corruption”.

He commented on the ‘failure’ of institutions to scrutinize terrorists in the national assembly, hinting at the alleged IB report which lists 37 lawmakers closely related with terrorist organizations. “If parliamentarians have been declared terrorists then what does the US highlighted wrong,” he asked.
