Professor shot dead over land dispute in Sialkot

SIALKOT: A college professor was shot dead and three others were injured in a clash triggered by a land dispute in a village in the Pasrur Tehsil in Sialkot District on Sunday.

Sajjad Karimi, a resident of Propi Nagra village, was a professor at the Arabic Department at the Government Jinnah Islamia College. He was also a prayer leader at a local mosque and an active member of a religious group.

He died at the scene after the shooting while Shahbaz, Abid and Nadeem received severe bullet wounds and were taken to the nearby Civil Hospital.  Police reached the crime scene soon after the incident and started an investigation into the incident.
