Prominent poet deprives from award

PESHAWAR: A well-Known Pashto poet, prose writer, critic and editor Sabir Shah Sabir was deprived from Fakhr-e-Peshawar award. He is member management committee of Abaseen Art council from last twenty years.

Sabir Shah Sabir had wrote more than 48 books including poetry, prose and 10 Safarnamas(Travelers note). He was editor of Sabawon, Dastar International, Tolusa and Memar International magazines.

Sabir Shah Sabir was Judge in culture department for more than 10 years. He wrote foreword for more than 500 books. He received more than 100 national and international awards. Sabir Shah Sabir was deprived from awards of pride of performance and Fakhr-e-Peshawar because of no political recognition.
