Protesters agree to end Faizabad sit-in following Zahid Hamid’s resignation

ISLAMABAD: The protestors at Faizabad agreed to end more than three weeks long sit-in following the resignation of federal law minister as the government and the protestors reached an agreement to end the unrest in the capital.

Sources told that workers of religious group will shortly announced to end the sit-in in the Faizabad area

As per the agreement, an inquiry board will be formed and it will take action against the persons who are responsible for the controversial amendment to the Finality of Prophethood declaration for electoral candidates within 30 days.

Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid voluntarily stepped down from his position late on Sunday.

The decision comes in the wake of the protests that continue across the country,
