HAFIZABAD: Growers of Hafizabad district have strongly protested against the increase in the price of DAP fertilizers and have called upon the government to decrease the rate for maximizing wheat production.
Addressing press conference, Vice President Kissan Board Pakistan Aman Ullah Chattah has expressed his grave concern over the increase in the prices of DAP from Rs. 2400 to Rs. 3000 which, he said would badly affected sowing of wheat. He further said that the government has already enhanced the rate of high speed diesel by Rs. 5.50 which has already badly affected the tube-well and tractor owners. Due to anti-growers policy of the government, growers have been discouraged. He appealed to the government to take prompt steps to bring down the prices of diesel oil and fertilisers otherwise, he warned, the wheat production would be decreased.
