MARDAN: District Nazim Mardan Himayatullah Mayar has said that the district government was determined to provide best possible medi-care facilities in the health facilities of the district to the people.
No lethargy and negligence would be tolerated in provision of medical treatment in the district hospitals to the deserving people as it was the mission of the Mardan District government, he said this while addressing a function held to distribute medical goods worth Rs8.7 million at Tehsil Hqs Hospital Takhtbai.
DHO Mardan Dr.Fazle Malik, MS Dr. Aurangzeb, Dr.Abdul Hadi, Dr.Saifur Rehman and members of the Paramedical Association were present on the occasion. He said that the district government was taking revolutionary steps in the health sector with main focus on providing medical facilities to the poor segment of the society as 44 percent people were living below poverty line in the country.
He informed that the district government has provided funds for provision of Suigas to Takhtbai Tehsil Hqs Hospital. Special electricity line was being laid for the hospital to end the problem load shedding. On this occasion he also inspected the CT Scan and MRI Unit and visitd various wards of the hospital and inquired after the health of the patients.
