PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Environment, Ishtiaq Urmar has said that the provincial government is taking measures for the welfare of people and provision of basic facilities to them is its top priority.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting in connections with provision of clean drinking water to provincial assembly constituency PK-69 here Monday. Besides, Executive Engineer (EXN), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irfan Rasheed, Sub-Engineer, Azizullah and local leaders of PTI were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the provincial minister was given detailed briefing regarding non-functional tube-wells in Chamkani, Mian Gujjar, Jukai, Nasirpur, Samarbagh and other localities of the constituency.
The meeting also reviewed the preparation of strategy for running campaign for prevention of the deadly disease of hepatitis on war footing.
The provincial minister directed the authorities of PFE to visit these localities on first priority, make sure the access of the people to clean drinking water and present report within a period of 15 days.
He said that provision of neat and clean environment to the people is top priority of PTI government. He urged the people to play their due role in achievement of the goal of green Pakistan and to put the country on the track of progress and development.
