Provision of facilities in govt schools case: Schools lacks facilities in Peshawar: CJ PHC

PESHAWAR: The member bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Ijaz Anwar directed Additional Director Elementary and Secondary Education for merged districts (erstwhile Fata) to submit report within two months regarding provision of facilities in the government schools, on Tuesday.

Additional Director Fareed Khattak informed PHC that Rs,1562 million has been released for provision of facilities to government schools in merged district.
Additional Director also informed PHC that there are total 5789 existing in merged district, on inquiring by Chief Justice.

During hearing Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that government schools lack facilities in Peshawar under your nose.

Additional Director E&SE for merged district that Rs,3905 million is also provided to school on PTC fund to provide facilities in their respective schools.

Chief Justice directed Additional Director to ensure proper utilization of funds and make sure that it shall not goes to packet of someone.

The two member bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Ijaz Anwar nominated Fareed Khattak as focal person in provision facilities to government schools in merged districts.
