ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) have called in 9 male and as many as female players for the Asian Squash Team Championship to be played in Korea from March 21 to 25. PSF will send teams for participation in both men and women events of Asian Squash Team Championship, said a press release issued on Wednesday.
Pakistan squash contingent would also participate in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, to be held in Australia from April 4 to 15. In order to select players for above events, PSF has organized Men and Women four day trials at Mushaf Squash Complex from February 13 to 16.
PSF has also invited few juniors to play the trials so that they could also get exposure of playing with senior players for better performance in future events. Male players include Israr Ahmed, Amaad Fareed, Tayyab Aslam, Asim Khan, Farhan Zaman, Mehran Javed, Kashif Asif, Mansoor Zaman and Abbas Zeb. Women players comprise Sadia Gul, Faiza Zafar, Zoya Khalid, Maria Toor, Saima Shaukat, Riffat Khan, Madina Zafar, Komal and Aiman Shahbaz.
