Karachi: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) final will be held in Karachi and if it doesn’t happen in Karachi then it won’t be held anywhere else, said Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi.
“My response will not change due to persistent questioning. The final of PSL will be held in Karachi and if it is not held in Karachi then it would not be held anywhere else,” said Sethi while speaking to media here at National Stadium on Monday.
Sethi returned from UAE last night and was here in Karachi to inspect the progress of National Stadium ahead of PSL final, scheduled to be held in Karachi on March 5. The work of renovation is underway at the stadium and apparently it seems the work was not progressing as scheduled and might not complete on time.
However, Sethi on several occasions reiterated that the final will take place in Karachi. He had also said that the work at NSK would be completed utmost by March 15.
He had criticized previous PCB chiefs, who according to him, didn’t even thought that international cricket would return to Pakistan. They didn’t even prepare for such a scenario, which has become challenging for the present setup now.
