PSP challenges census results in Apex Court

KARACHI: Chief of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Mustafa Kamal contacted the Supreme Court on Wednesday and challenged the results of the census.

Mustafa Kamal submitted petition in the apex court and stated that according to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) the registered number of people in Karachi is 20.15 million but he census result showed the total population of Karachi is 10.60 million.

PSP leader in the petition stated that census was not held in many parts of the city and the population of Karachi was undercounted deliberately.

The petition named Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the federal government, chairman NADRA and others as respondents in the case.
