F.P. Report
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) delegation will meet the disgruntled leaders Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from South Punjab as they quit the ruling party and demand a separate province.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi will lead the PTI delegation. After the meeting, leaders of both sides are expected to address a joint press conference.
Last week, eight PML-N lawmakers, including six MNAs and two MPAs announced to quit the ruling party and announced to launch a movement with the title of Junoobi Punjab Suba Mahaaz with the aim to make southern Punjab a separate province.
The announcement of south Punjab leaders jolted the ruling PML-N and PTI supported the demand of a new province.
Earlier on Friday, Minister for Power Division Awais Leghari announced that the PML-N will include Bahawalpur and South Punjab province issues in its manifesto for the upcoming elections.
