PTI demands resignations of Dar, Kulsoom Nawaz

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has demanded resignation from Member National Assembly Kulsoom Nawaz and Senator Ishaq Dar for not being able to sworn in as parliamentarians.

According to the details issued by party’s Central Media Department Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has written to Speaker National Assembly and Chairman Senate seeking resignation of Kulsoom Nawaz and Ishaq Dar.

The letter written by Central Secretary Information Fawad Choudhary states that both Kulsoom Nawaz and Ishaq Dar had failed to fulfill legal requirement “for the winning candidate to take an oath in the National Assembly.

“Despite the fact that Kulsoom Nawaz was battling lymphoma since the diagnosis in August, she was made to contest NA-120 by elections”, maintains Fawad Choudhary in the letter. Fawad Choudhary writes that this delay in oath taking by Kulsoom Nawaz has deprived people of NA-120 from representation.

Moreover, he adds, Ishaq Dar has been elected as senator turning a blind eye to the fact that he has been declared absconder by the court. He said that such moves spoliate people’s confidence on democracy.

Fawad Choudhary urged Speaker National Assembly and Chairman Senate to take oath of the office from the two or seek resignations from them.

Praying for Kulsoom Nawaz’s healthy recovery, Fawad Choudhary said that we pray for healthy and early recovery of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and added that we must also do justice with the millions of voters who are lacking representation only because of House Sharif’s self-will and hardheadedness.
