F.P. Report

TIMERGARA:  The Lower Dir chapter of Pakistan Tehrek Insaf on Sunday demanded of the election commission of Pakistan to appoint election staff on merit for the upcoming general election. The demand was made during a consultative meeting held at a local hotel which was attended by tickets’ aspirants, party office bearers and workers. The PTI Saudi Arabia region president Abdul Qayyum, former NA candidate Bashir Khan, Fazal Wahab Swati, Dr Sarbiland Khan and others spoke on the occasion.

The meeting expressed confidence on party leadership and said that leadership and workers were on the same page. It said the district organization and workers would support party candidates at any cost.

The speakers said the PTI had planned to end the Jamaat-i-Islami manipulation of politics in Dir. They said the JI leadership had kept the district in darks for the last 40 years. They said the PTI was the only ray of hope for people of Dir and it would win all the seats in the next election.

Some of the speakers alleged the ECP was appointing teachers affiliated with political parties which they called violation of election rules. They demanded of the ECP to appoint impartial persons as presiding, assistant presiding and polling officers. They said the PTI would strongly resist if partial staff was appointed for general election.
