PTI ex-MPA Akram Usman, ticket-holder held in Lahore

LAHORE: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Mian Akram Usman has been arrested in Lahore, on Wednesday.

He was arrested along with his brother Haroon Akbar on the charge of violent protests in Lahore following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

It is to be noted here that people in Lahore and other areas of the country had resorted to violent protests following the arrest of Imran Khan by Rangers from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Meanwhile, PTI ticket-holder from PP-149 Mian Ibad Farooq was arrested from DHA Lahore and shifted to an unknown place.

A truckload of PTI workers and stones was also seized by the police in Lahore on Wednesday.

As many as 40 PTI activists were on board the Mazda truck when it was seized during a roundup near Governor’s House in Lahore.

Police said these PTI activists were also involved in attacks on Mian Mir, Club Chowk and Shadman police stations.
