PTI and JUI-F workers join JI in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: The Pakistan Tehrek Insaf divisional general secretary of party labor wing and former candidate of LG bye election on Shahikhel Tehsil council ward Arshad Ahmad on Saturday parted his ways with the party and joined the Jamaat-I-Islami along with his family and supporters. He made the announcement during a function held at his hujra at Gumbat Talash where the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for finance Muzafar Syed was chief guest. The JI workers and relatives of the PTI diehard worker Arshad Ahmad attended the function.

Also in the day 60 prominent figures of Qazian family at Shamshi Khan Talash belonging to the JUI-F announced to join the JI. They made the announcement during a function held at Shagai Shamshi Khan. The JUI-F workers who joined the JI include Qazi Fakhr-Ud-Din, Qazi Iqbal Alam, poet Riaz-Ul-Islam Saghir and others. Arshad Ahmad of the PTI while speaking on the occasion said he had served the party and people of the Lower Dir for several years. He said the PTI lacked proper organization and workers had no respect in it. He said he was joining the JI after due consultation with his relatives and friends.

Speaking on the occasion the KP finance minister said that work on development projects in the area would continue despite the opposition’s blame game. He said the voters had expressed their trust in the JI during the recent LG bye-polls in all parts of the Lower and Upper Dir. Timergara Tehsil nazim Riaz Muhammad, district councilor Fazil Qadir, Qazi Fakhr-Ud-Din, Arshad Ahmad and others also addressed the functions.
