PTI postpones Lahore rally scheduled for August 27

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed its planned rally in Lahore, which was scheduled for August 27.

According to the sources in the PTI, this decision follows the earlier postponement of a similar rally in Islamabad scheduled on August 22.

Sources indicate that PTI had initially announced the Lahore rally on August 27 as part of its series of public events.

However, the party has now opted to defer this event, citing ongoing political developments and logistical concerns.

It is pertinent to mention that PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan expressed her anger to the PTI leadership for postponing the Islamabad rally on Aug 22.

She raised concerns about the postponement of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Tarnol in Islamabad, triggering an open confrontation within the party’s leadership.

A belligerent Aleema accused the current PTI leadership of having no intention of securing Imran Khan’s release from jail. She lashed out at Azam Swati, questioning who instructed him to deliver the message to Imran Khan at the jail early morning. This is not time for a meeting in the jail, she added.

Aleema expressed doubts about how a meeting at Adiala Jail could have been arranged at 7:30 am and accused the PTI leadership of postponing the rally on the orders of the establishment.

Aleema further claimed that the current leadership makes decisions independently but attributes them to the party’s founder. She insisted that they have no real intention of getting Imran Khan out of jail.
