ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed protest call for Friday (tomorrow) on the fears that PTI leadership and workers will be arrested.
PTI has urged the party workers and leaders to attend Milad-ul-Nabi seminars.
PTI is going to hold a seminar on September 17 and a rally on September 21. PTI feared that in case PTI workers stage protests on Friday, PTI workers and leadership will be kept behind the bar by the government till September 21.
Talking to media, Salman Akram Raja said that PTI will hold rally on September 21 while tomorrow’s protest was postponed to focus on September 21 rally.
“We do not want politics of conflict in the country”, Salman Akram Raja. He claimed that government was pressurizing PTI MNAs for constitutional amendment and PTI MNA were being picked. Salman Akram Raja said Saadullah Baloch’s wife and daughter were picked up.
PTI leader Barrister Salman Akram Raja has said that parliament is a sacred institution and its respect was mandatory for all and sundry.
Talking to Mehmood Achakzai, chairman of Tehreek Tahafuz Ain -e-Pakistan, Slaman Raja said the way the members of the National Assembly were arrested from inside the Parliament has left a black mark on the sanctity of Parliament and democracy. He said parliament is supreme and its sanctity and respect is obligatory on all institutions.
