Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has removed Shayan Bashir from his position as head of PTI Punjab media cell for issuing irresponsible public statements.
According to an official notification issued by PTI Punjab chief organiser Alia Hamza, Shayan Bashir’s conduct and statements were deemed inappropriate and contrary to the party’s communication policy.
The notification stated, “Shayan Bashir is being removed from his position due to the issuance of irresponsible statements,” confirming that the decision was taken to maintain discipline and ensure responsible media engagement from party representatives.
“The party expects all members to adhere to its policies and communicate responsibly.”
With Bashir’s removal, PTI Punjab is expected to appoint a new media cell in-charge soon.
