PTI senior leader Mehmood Moulvi announces resignation from party

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Senior Vice President Mahmood Moulvi announced his resignation from his party on Tuesday.

According to reports, Mahmood Moulvi was among the most prominent leaders of the PTI in Karachi.

About the reason for his resignation, Mahmood Moulvi said he never go against the Pak army in the past and will also not go against it in future.

He denied his involvement in any attack on the monuments of martyrs and other venues on May 9. He said he had no knowledge that there was a militant wing in the PTI.

Mahmood Moulvi said he was not going to join any other party but wanted to establish his new political party. He said parties emerged and died over time but the Pak army is an institute.

He said PTI leaders in Karachi said to him on May 09 that if Imran Khan is arrested, they will attack GHQ.

It is worth mentioning here that Mahmood Moulvi has served the nation as Advisor of Maritime Affairs in former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s regime.

He was appointed as Senior Vice President of the executive committee of the Western Sindh region of PTI in consultation with PTI chairman Imran Khan.
