PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued the names of its Members Provincial Assembly (MPAs) who were expelled from party following allegations of selling out votes in recently held senate elections in the country.
The announcement came to the light on Wednesday after an MPA Shaukat Ali Yousafzai who is also the spokesman of chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while talking to media said that the alleged MPAs were expelled from party for failing to respond to show cause notices issued them earlier by PTI leadership. He stated the committee formed earlier will formally give approval of expelled parliamentarian from party.
Nargis Bibi, Deena Naaz, Nagina Khan, Amjed Afridi, Ziaullah Afridi, Ubaidullah Mayar, Zahid Durani, Khatoon Bibi, Javid Naseem, Abdul Haq, Yaseen Khalil, Wajih Zaman, Qurban Khan and Nargis Ali were among those were expelled from party, Mr Yousafzai announced. Miraj Hamayun, Samiullah Ali Zai, Arif Yousaf and Fozia Bibi, have responded to show-cause notices issued by PTI leadership, he added.
Spokesman of CM KP, further clarified that the committee will review the replies of lawmakers in the light of show-cause notices and it will also make decisions in coming two days regarding fate of remaining MPAs. The disciplinary action was taken against party’s MPAs after rumors and suspects that PTI parliamentarians have sold out their loyalties for huge amount in recently conducted Senate polls.
The inquiry committee earlier formed is headed by Asad Qaiser, Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Education Minister Atif Khan, Health Minister Shehram Tarakai, MNA Shehryar Afridi, Provincial Minister Shah Farman and Central PTI leader Naeemul Haq.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister Pervez Khattak presented a report bearing names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPAs, who allegedly sold their votes in the Senate elections, to Imran Khan. The report shared with PTI chief divulged that several MPAs “sold their conscience” for Rs 1.2 billion.
Responding to announcement made by CM KP spokesman, an alleged MPA Ubaidullah Mayar, said that he has earlier quitted the party as there is no justice, merit and transparency in it. He came hard on PTI and saying there is still massive corruption in party. I have no reasons to be in party after joining Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he added.
He accused that the polices of PTI in the province have badly failed and it was only making tall claims for bring about change in KP. About PPP, he added that it was really representing the low class masses in the country and a ray of hope for people. He claimed he will serve PTI chief with defamation notice soon.
Another expelled MPA of PTI, Ziaullah Afridi who is now part of PPP, while commenting over the committee report said that he has left the party few months back and joined PPP. He added that PPP is an ideological party and now i am an active member of it. He stated that KP government has failed to deliver in the province and its claims are confined to social media and advertisements.
