PTI uplift plans only limited to social media: Sikandar

MINGORA: Provincial Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao has expressed serious concern over the worsening situation of the province that provincial led government had failed to fulfill its promises to the masses and their developmental plans were only limited to social media which was lacking the ground realities.

He said that the lives of the people in the metropolitan had been made miserable over the flop developmental BRT scheme. He was addressing a public meeting at Choprial distract Swat, wherein scores of different political parties workers and office bearers announced their joining in the QWP. Sikandar Sherpao said that the PTI government had done nothing practical for masses benefits, nor they were paying any attention towards problems of the people of the province.

He deplored that the provincial government lacked vision and political acumen in legislative and administrative measures. He said that now the province was passing through critical juncture, therefore there was need for the prudent leadership for Pakhtuns to chalk out comprehensive strategy to steer the province from the existing bad situation created by the incompetent PTI leadership.

He also deplored that the provincial government was unable to properly project the cause of the people of KP and Fata on the federal level which was a great disservice to the people of the region. He said that the PTI leadership during the five years terms was only busy in point scoring and it lack the vision to serve the people while there so called change was only seen on the social media and on ground they did nothing.

The QWP provincial chairman said that PTI had not properly pleaded the case of the Pakhtun and the Fata merge with KP and their vote was used only personal and political projection. He said that in spite of having lion’s shares in the national resources, PTI had not yet taken any step for protection of Pakhtun and the sense of deprivation among them was on the rise. He contended that the Pakhtun had identified the true colors of PTI leaders and it would not further hoodwink them through hollow slogans.

He expressed serious concerns over the sudden and long hours unannounced electricity load shedding in the province. He said that the lives of the people were made miserable with load shedding, which not acceptable at any cost. He asked the federal government to give the rightful share of the KP in the hydal power. He said that QWP would not leave the Pakhtun nation alone and it would struggle for their rights at every forum.
