ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf started its efforts to emerge his own Shah Mehmood Qureshi as opposition leader in National Assembly and replacing the incumbent, PPP Syed Khursheed Shah.
Sources told that PTI wants to bring his own leader as opposition leader before the caretaker government came in before the general election next year and also starting contacts with MQM-P in this regard.
PTI also started approaching different political parties and demanding their support in replacing the Khursheed Shah with PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi as opposition leader in the national assembly.
The PTI in its message said that if all the opposition parties unite against the Pakistan People’s Party then a new opposition leader can emerge.
It is pertinent to mention that in the National Assembly, MQM-P has 22 seats while the PTI holds 27 seats.
