‘PTI’s planning for power sector to end electricity crises’

HARIPUR: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Omer Ayub Khan has said that our long term and comprehensive planning for the energy sector would help end the long-standing issue of electricity crises.

He said this while addressing a huge public gathering after inauguration of Sui Gas provision project at Sarya Haripur.

He said that previous governments did nothing for resolving energy crises adding the incumbent government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was tirelessly working to bring the country out of energy crises.

The Minister while giving the details of measures adopted for addressing the issue of low voltage and unscheduled load shedding in district Haripur said that construction work on 11 new feeders was in progress whereas a new grid station with the cost of 8.5 billion would be constructed in Hattar. Besides, he said the newly inaugurated 132 Kilowatt grid station Khapur would resolve the problem of low voltage.

Omer Ayub Khan stated that a new 132 KV grid station for Mansehra districts has also been approved that would also provide relief to some areas of the district Haripur.

He said PML-N government tried to convince people by using the CPEC route but the truth is the foundation stone of Pak China friendship was laid by the late president Gen. (R) Muhammad Ayub Khan by the construction of Karakoram Highway (KKH), the minister said.

While criticizing the previous government policies Omer Ayub Khan said that the difficulties we were facing were the results of their poor policies due to which the debts had been increased.

Earlier, chairman DDAC committee and PTI MPA Arshad Ayub Khan and ex-provincial minister Yousuf Ayub Khan also addressed the public gathering.

Omer Ayub Khan on his arrival at the Sarya village also inaugurated the water supply scheme worth 4.53 million rupees.
