Punjab govt makes elaborative arrangements for tourists

ISLAMABAD: Punjab government has made elaborated arrangements to facilitate the tourists in Murree during Eid ul Azha holidays.

Seven facilitation centers have been established for tourists in Murree while a control room has been set up for monitoring. For the convenience of tourists, pamphlets were also kept at the facilitation centers, which contained all the contact numbers required to deal with an emergency, and there was also a map to guide the tourists.

All administrative institutions, including Murree administration, police, Rescue 1122, tourism department, health department, and civil defence, will remain present at the centers to provide awareness to the tourists.

Facilitation centers have been established at GPO Chowk, Kashmir Point, Jhika Gali, Barian, Lower Topa, Guldna and Satra Mail.

Over two hundred and sixty-four traffic wardens and officers will perform duties to regulate traffic. Special check posts have also been set up at the entry and exit points of Murree.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also ensured maximum arrangements in view of the rush of tourists on Eid-ul-Azha in Malakand and Hazara divisions.
