LAHORE (APP): Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Amir Mir has said that police will provide full security to the participants of Aurat March in Lahore on March 8 to avoid any untoward incident.
The organizers of the Aurat March demanded the protection of participants of the march, to which the provincial minister assured the organizers that the government would not put any obstacle in the Aurat March.
Amir Mir said the organizing committee of Aurat March had expressed concerns over Deputy Commissioner Lahore for not issuing NOC for the march and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan had also demanded the caretaker government to ensure the peaceful conduct of
Aurat March and steps should be taken to uphold the right of assembly and full security should be provided to the marchers. The Punjab government had issued orders to provide foolproof security to ensure the peaceful conduct of Aurat March, Minister added.
