Punjab releases Rs810m for free books in schools

LAHORE: The Punjab Finance Department has released Rs810 million to provide free books to children at public schools, on Tuesday.

The Finance Department has transferred the grant to School Education Department in order to provide free books to children in schools.

It has also released Rs200 million for an awareness campaign against smog and directed the Environment Department to launch a smog awareness campaign immediately.

The Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital also received a grant of Rs100 million from the Finance Department.
