Qalandar’s Liam Dawson out of remaining PSL 8 matches due to ankle injury

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have suffered a setback as their all-rounder Liam Dawson has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the eighth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to an ankle injury.

Lahore Qalandars, from their official Twitter handle, announced the ruling out of Liam Dawson from PSL 8. They also wished him a speedy recovery.

It is to be noted here that the English all-rounder of Lahore Qalandars had suffered the injury during his side’s clash with Karachi Kings on Sunday last.

He had been taken to a hospital in Karachi where the doctors advised him a four to six-week rest.

Liam Dawson, on his Instagram story, expressed his disappointment over being ruled out for the rest of the PSL matches due to the injury. He thanked Lahore Qalandars for the opportunity to play in Pakistan again. He also wished the team good luck for the remaining matches.

It merits a mention here that Lahore Qalandars will cross swords with Quetta Gladiators in the 10th match of PSL 8 tonight.

The team had been beaten by 67 runs in their last match against Karachi Kings.
