QWP vows to remove sense of deprivation among Pakhtuns

QUETTA: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that QWP will leave no stone un-turn to remove the growing sense of deprivation among the Pakhtuns.

He said that his party had raised voice for the equal rights of smaller provinces who in spite of having rich land and resources, but unfortunately they had been kept deprived of their basic amenities, saying that providing equal rights to the smaller province is the basic aim of the QWP.

He said this while addressing a public meeting in Quetta, Baluchistan, wherein a number of workers and office bearers of different political parties announced their joining in QWP.

The Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) leaders were warmly welcomed on the reception by province leaders and workers and the new entrants’ reposed confidence on the party leadership that the emergence of the QWP in the mainstream of country political spectrum is a good omen that In real terms had always been struggled hard for the welfare of the oppressed strata in the country.

On this occasion Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Sherpao announced his party full-pledge participation in the upcoming general election 2018 that like in the previous elections Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) will award tickets to its candidates for contesting election for national and provincial assemblies.

Sherpao lamented that the sense of deprivation amongst the smaller federating units has been on the high pedestal due to delay in NFC Award, deprivation in CPEC.

He also regretted the federal government for its step motherly attitude towards the smaller provinces.

He said that Pakistan is a federation and the federal democratic dispensation would only be viable if all the federating units were given equal treatment and federal government always trampled upon the rights of small provinces.

He said that if the federal government did not change its attitude then it would be disastrous for the Federation.

Chairman QWP Sherpao reiterated the federal government the early implementation of NFC awards, inclusion of Pakhtun leadership in vital decision making process, policy-making and consultation process should be materialized.

“The public trust was more indicated due to its struggle for the welfare of the common men.

He contended that Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) had taken up the cudgels of the masses while the people of Balochistan had rendered matchless sacrifices both human and material in the war against terrorism” he continued.

He said that the people the area are facing multiple problems and their party will change the fate of the people of area through the revolutionary and pragmatic steps aimed to bring prosperity and uplift for them.
